Mike Pilon

Mike is a native of Munster, Ontario and graduated from Brock University with a degree in Physical Education.  Mike played five years of Junior hockey in Ontario, as well as two seasons of Senior "A" hockey in the United States.  He also won two Canadian University Field Lacrosse Championships while at Brock.  Mike has vast experience in player development and consultation, having attained his Master Level Coach certification from USA Hockey.  He has multiple coaching symposium experience, having also worked with the inaugural season of CBC's "Making the Cut".  Mike is also the Director of Player Development for the Gloucester Rangers program.  Passionate about his work with an infectious attitude, he is a strong communicator and has international instructional experience in the UK, Italy, and Slovenia.  Mike has worked with over 100 NCAA athletes and a dozen current NHL players - possessing a strong network within the game.

Mike Beasley

Mike - originally from Montreal - played three years of junior hockey and one year of college hockey in same city. He attended Plattsburgh State University in New York on a hockey scholarship. Other playing experience includes the Atlantic Coast Hockey League and Quebec Senior League.  He participated in the CBC Television show "He Shoots, He Scores" (Lance et Compte).  Mike also holds a degree from Carleton University with a BA in Law and has gone on to a successful career in sports journalism covering professional and amateur sports throughout Canada.  Mike’s work can regularly be seen in Metro Ottawa, the Ottawa Citizen and Hockey Now. Other articles have been published in The Hockey News, Ottawa Sun and Score Golf.  The “Beaser” has a lot to offer any budding hockey player and loves to see players improve and is willing to put the time in to make that happen. His calm but direct approach to teaching is what separates him from other instructors.

John Chabot  

      John is Anishinabe (Algonquin) from the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nations community near Maniwaki, Quebec. John was drafted #1 overall by the Hull Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in 1978. During his final QMJHL year in 1982 his team won the league championship, was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the league and was one of three finalists for the Canadian Junior Player of the Year. 

In 1980, after his first year in Hull, he was drafted in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens where he played for two seasons. He was then traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he played for three seasons before signing with the Detroit Red Wings for four years. He then spent the next ten years playing professional hockey in Europe where he captained his team for four years in Frankfurt, Germany. During the time in Europe, he had the opportunity to represent his country, playing for Team Canada in different international tournaments. He retired from hockey in 2001. 

John was one of the original role models for Health Canada’s National Native Alcohol and Drug Addictions Program (NNAADP). He visited many First Nations communities across Canada speaking to youth during the program’s first four years. His message was simple, “I have a great life, now I want to share my experiences and my love of life with those that might be inspired to work hard in the pursuit of their dream.”

John recently retired after two seasons as the assistant coach for the New York Islanders of the NHL. Previous to that he was the head coach of the Acadie-Bathurst Titans of the QMJHL for 1½ years and an assistant coach for 4 years with the Gatineau Olympiques with whom he participated in two consecutive Memorial Cups. He was the Head coach of the National Midget Team sponsored by the Aboriginal Sports Council in ’03 and helped form an NHL Aboriginal Alumni team that travels the country playing games that support native youth programs.   He hosted two T.V. shows, “Hockey Goals” and “Lacrosse Goals” on APTN and has given motivational talks to national corporations, Federal Government and Aboriginal communities. He has written articles on safety in sports and wrote an editorial on the importance of sport in relation to health issues in “SAY” magazine. He has visited Aboriginal communities to set-up hockey skills camps and has run an all native hockey school in Deline, NWT.

      Marc Robitaille

Marc is a graduate of the Gloucester Rangers program, having grown up in the area and played his minor/junior hockey here.  He followed this by attending Northeastern University on a hockey scholarship where he earned All-American honors and a free agent contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.  After two seasons with the Leafs organization, Marc returned to Ottawa to pursue his Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Ottawa.  Since that time, he has also earned his Certified Financial Planner Professional Designation.  He is CHA  Level One certified, and has participated in the SPEAK OUT program.  A strong presence with a unique ability to communicate effectively with goalies, Marc has been a valuable addition to the staff.

          Jamie Dumont

Jamie Dumont is a native of Lewiston, Maine, and played his college hockey at his Alma Mater: Oswego State University.  Jamie is a professional in every sense of the word - passionate about his work and a student of the game.  Well respected among coaching circles for his dedication to his craft, Jamie has worked with numerous professional coaches in player development and has a great grasp of the talent pool both nationally and internationally

Greg Riley

Greg is a product of the Ottawa Valley where he got his start coaching in West Carleton. He has coached for over 25 years at all levels and age groups in minor hockey. His diverse background includes coaching in the house league “A” and the double “AA” programs as well as working with the development program in Nepean. He had the responsibility for talent assessment, player selection and assistant coach for the Ottawa 67’s minor AAA summer program 1986 birth year, which has graduated many players to successful OHL and NCAA division I careers. His coaching career took an interesting twist when he became involved with roller hockey taking on a team of twelve year olds to a bronze medal in the Canadian national championships. His continued coaching and developing of this team along with their success in international competitions saw them invited to represent Canada in the 2005 Men’s World Championship in France.

Andrew Cobham

Andrew grew up in New Brunswick where his passion for hockey began.  He developed his skills while living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and continued his hockey career when he moved to the Ottawa area in 1986.  When Andrew’s playing career ended, he decided to keep his love of goaltending alive by becoming a goalie coach.  He has over 15 years experience training goalies in all levels, including AA, AAA and up to Junior A. 

Andrew loves to get involved and push his players to be the best that they can be.  He polishes the skills and styles already developed by his goalies.  Andrew believes that if you put effort into what you are doing, you WILL see results.

Andrew, aka Cobsy, will always have a smile on his face, but don’t let this fool you!  He is also a very intense individual with real passion and drive to make his goalies succeed at their highest potential.

Cosmo Clarke

Currently Cosmo is the Director of Athletic Development at Valley View (Dallas, TX) as well as the Assistant Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Jesuit Varsity Hockey Program(Dallas, TX). 

Cosmo comes to us with an extensive background in the hockey and fitness field.  Cosmo has an extensive background of training athletes of all ages and in all sports.  He has trained athletes at the amateur and professional level.  Cosmo spent some time working in the private fitness field, corporate fitness field, as well as private prep schools.

Cosmo enjoyed playing 4 years of collegiate hockey at Brock University, 5 years of professional hockey, from 1995 to 2000,  and also spent some time being an assistant coach at the professional level.  Cosmo coached 8 years with the Alliance Youth Hockey Association.  He has an Level 5 coaching certificate and is also a certified physical fitness instructor. Cosmo has also spent over 20 years developing, instructing and directing hockey schools across North America and Europe.  

In addition to leading hockey teams overseas to compete and win in European Tournaments, Cosmo led the Alliance Midget Major AA team to the Texoma championship for 2003-2004, as well as the Tier II State Championship in 2003-2004.  In 2004-2005, he led his Midget Major AA Team to the Tier II State Championship, and to the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Finals in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Cosmo coached 4 years at Plano West Varsity High School Hockey Team(04-08), and led this high school team to numerous advanced playoffs, in addition to winning the 2005 Texas State Championship.  Cosmo was also the strength and conditioning coach at St. Mark’s School of Texas (00-05) where he coached JV Lacrosse and led the JV Hockey Team to a City Championship in 2002.

Cosmo is a native of Ottawa, Ontario and has been living in Dallas since 1997.  He has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Brock University, Ontario and has been a strength and conditioning coach for 20yrs.
